Been keeping my pie-hole shut WRT the "surge" that the President wants and intends to do in Iraq. Wanted to see what the professionals and well-informed amateurs and not the politicos think of the plan. BDS sufferers claim that the 20K increase will be insignificant against the 132K in-country, while other thinkers state the unobvious truth that adding 20,000 troops to the 13,000 presently in Baghdad will give the Coalition commanders a mathematical advantage unknown heretofore. Particularly if backed by sufficient numbers of American-trained Iraqis. Take a good look at Wretchard's analyses (plural). He makes a lot of sense.

Personally, I think it's time that butterball-in-black al Sadr got swept up in a nutcracker and delivered post-haste to his moon-god for his raisins....
