Good stuff, Maynard

Courtesy of the Rottie:
Interesting Cafepress story over there. Hypocrisy abounds. I'm shocked, I tell you....

Managed to survive the trip to Hartville, both the L&T and MIL had a ball, they tell me, so it was worth spending a day that way.

Col Peters has an interestin' article on the Blackwater problem in Iraq. He places the blame where it belongs - on the striped-pants boys and girls from Foggy Bottom (yes, Condaleeza, I'm looking at YOU. Some minimal level of competency would be nice...). As pointed out "a religious cult of privatization and outsourcing" produced our Hessians. And the French glorify their Foreign Legion....
No insanity by the lib-ruls rocks my world today so I'm gonna go to Home Depot and then hang stuff for the L&T and read the paper until game time. Pray for the Browns, although even divine intercession may not be enough.

Schtuff that pisses me Off

Just when you think Congress has overfilled their azzole quotient yet again, they manage to come out with another blivet. Tell me what you think of these little proposals...

First up is "Cryin' George" Voinovich. He was ok as Cleveland's mayor, hit his Peter level as governor of Ohio and has been a total freakin' disaster as a whining RINDID senator. Now he wants to change the ROE and mission in Iraq to "hold what you can and train the little brown people". It is painfully obvious that Cryin' George has a grasp of history and military science exceeded only by my pug Stewie's understanding of the Lorentz-Fitzgerald Contraction. He must be removed from office posthaste (by ballot, not bullet).

Batting second would be Shrillary with her plan to give $5000 in tax money to every one of "the chirrun" "Born in the USA" at birth to be used for college or a down payment on a house.
Excuse the fuckoutofme?? The rationale (let alone the Constitutional basis) for this would be WHAT? Pay attention to this national socialist, people. And if she pulls it off, I want the $5K with interest back to 1950. At the Carter years' interest rate of 18%.

Last but certainly not least is Condie and her fellation of the God of Glowbull Warming. Are you people technically ignorant or willfully blind? Cheeseandcrackers, folks. Use your bloody senses... Or your analytical abilities.

Ok, I'm outta here. L&T and the MIL want to go to Hartville. And I'm drivin'. Be good to each other while I'm gone....

Even More Sunday Schtuff

Gleefully snatched from Matt G.: Google search. *Snerk*

Anybody else care about the Raiders/Browns game? Thought not....

I was thinkin' about the open border problem in my "down-time". No matter how attractive a wall on the Mexican border seems, it isn't the answer by a long shot. The sole way to ameliorate the problem is at the "root causes" (as the lib-ruls are so fond of saying). Remove the economic returns from illegal immigration and the problem solves itself. This means landing on the employers of illegals like a million-pound shit-hammer AND the unions which have illegals as members. A graduated system of fines culminating in a loss of licences to operate in the state/country for the companies and a three-strikes-and-you-open-your-financial-records for the unions ought to go a long way to slowing down and reversing the problem.
"Hey, ya old fart", I hear you cry, "this won't do anything about the gangbangers and terrorists who are using the Rio Grande as an entrance highway to the States." True - not directly. But it will remove a lot of the oceans of population that the guerrillas swim in, to paraphrase Chairman Mao badly. Paying $0.20 more per head of lettuce strikes me as a very small price to pay.
"But what about the Law of Unintended Consequences?" I hear you cry (noisy-assed bunch, aintcha?) Like any other government program, we'll deal with that as the problems appear. Can't be worse than the present situation...

Fred has stated his position on the 2nd Amendment. HOO-AH!

Reading: One Jump Ahead, Pandora's Legion, and D-Day June 6, 1944. SF, technomilitary and history. Variety is...
LOL Cthulhu?? Even he haz cheezburger.... (Thanks, Tam.)
Thanks be to Cthulhu Rodge lied/misled us. He is back in his glory - if, indeed, he ever left....

Well, the L&T wants me to help her start cleanin' out the attic 'n haulin' stuff to Goodwill. Be good to each other while I'm gone.

Heinz Day

As usual, I took the anniversary of my natal day off. Gotta go to the DMVfor 2 plates today and then "see" the optometrist. The glasses are startin' to blur a little bit, and they haven't changed. Nice day, maybe I'll scoot around a little later.
Tribe swept the Motor City Kitties. Leyland's boys just got brushed aside, seemingly. Tigers are a good ballclub, but I think they're outclassed. Let's meet-and-beat the Yanks and then who knows?
The Raiders are favored by 3 over the Browns on Sunday. So I look for a 27-3 score. Not sure who gets the 27 but I don't know which teams are going to show up on Sunday.

Her vote on the MoveOn ad was enough to even make the blindest Shrillary adherent able to see her worship at the Temple of Mammon. This is as close to honest as she ever gets... This is as blatant as her Chinese (PLA?) connections...

Monday Catchup and Management

If your name is Romeo, you're breathing a lot easier this morning. I was so wrong with my assessment of the Bungles game. I thought I was seeing an old AFL game, with all the scoring and lack of defense. The Browns aren't as bad as they looked in the first game and aren't as good as they looked yesterday. Just enjoy the afterglow of yesterday - I have the feeling that it won't happen too much this year.
The Tribe squares off for arguably their most important regular season series starting tonight against Detroit. Go Get 'Em.
Whassup wit' OJ? Did he miss the tender ministrations of Jerry Rivers' lips? (That would be Geraldo Rivera, people) Just can't stay out of the lineup...
Recieved the laptop table from Amazon and spent a couple hours assembling it. Nicely designed with a pivoting surface to adjust your machine. Y'all could do a lot worse than that....

I see Chuckie Schumer has unleashed his sippy cup and is demanding that GWB nominate someone for Attorney General acceptable to Democrats. Bite me, Chuckie. Democrats believe in bipartisan compromise according to their "principles" (stolen from the Soviet Union) that "what's theirs stays theirs, but what's yours is negotiable". Go talk real estate scams with Reid and stop annoying the grownups.

Money Honey

I think the DemCong are on a self-destructive trip. This all is due to money.
Especially Shrillary. Her problems just start from a money angle. From the antics of the Hsu-man to hiring "Pants" Berger (mayhap as a reward for cleaning up part of the Clinton's legacy?) and Dicky Clarke for advice . (I'm not sure N. Hsu wasn't disbursing PRC-PLA money like Trie was for Bill.)
The Democtat Party is shooting itself in the foot and merrily reloading. From the NYT Petraeus ad to the Gonzales lynching to the religion of AlGore. I'm not even including the circus act of that pinched-face turd-polisher Harry "We've LOST" Reid. (Who, BTW, will be the ugliest man in Congress when the representative from the hobbits Kucinich is retired. On behalf of my home town I'd like to apologize to America for the fact of Dennis' existence.) He also is part of the decline of a once proud and patriotic Democrat Party. "My Party in power -right or wrong" seems to be the rationale and rallying cry of Democrats (and a few RINDIDs* who support them).
This has been caused by the cash-control by more one-issue parties (MoveOn.org and George Soros, for example) that are skewing the platform toward the dictatorial/communistic/Big Brother edge. There is no cash flow from the center of the party so there is no power over message. "Money is the mother's milk of politics" said someone I'm too lazy to google. Milk nurtures sinews which project power. And the fringe groups are raising $$ from their true believers.

There is no cure. As long as some folks want power over other folks. There is no cure.

On a related depressing note, the Browns face the Bungles Sunday. Cleveland will be beaten like a red-headed stepchild. Still sucks to be a Browns fan. But Belichek getting busted was cool.
The Indians are still holding first. Magic number is 10. Could get interesting.

This means war

And not in the Bugs Bunny sense. The Grey Bitch has crossed the line again in pandering to the no-load dip-dunk high-drag low-speed dick-headed liberalcock-engulfing media conspiracy-to-crush-Bush. (And I'm not angry yet..)

And we're not even discussing that sorry sack of fairy-dust-shit named Kucinich. The only TV time Captain Homogenized can get is in Syria praising their government??? Someone should acquaint that waste of Oh-Two with the Logan Act. Read this. And then put his sorry ass on trial.

Words fail me.

Sedition? Nay, there is a better charge. Treason? You make the call...

Indict Pinch and the liberal-from-Middle-Earth. Fonda escaped censure, as did Ketchup Boy. Don't let these azzoles drag America through the mud again.

On the lighter side..... This is from Al-Reuters. ENJOY, lib-ruls....

Six Years

Six years ago at 0846 EDT the safe comfortable structure of post-Cold War America crumpled under the first of two aircraft assaults on the World Trade Center in New York. For the first time, the majority of American citizens were forced to face the reality that our social identity and "selfhood" were under sustained attack by Islamofascistic fanatics - and had been for years. The barbarians were seen to be at the gate, demanding that western civilization be replaced by the 8th century construct of a moon-god worshipping pederast's adherents determined to convert, tax, or kill everyone in the world.
Six years later we are still struggling to convince the willfully ignorant that a state of war does indeed exist between our civilization and Islamic determinism. Some (Reid, Pelosi, Schumer) would sacrifice this country for political expediency to ascend to a higher seat of greater power. Some (Chomsky, Moore, DePalma) see denigrating the existence of America's sworn enemies as necessary props to support their egos. Others are too consumed by the pursuit of trinkets and celebrity voyeurism to realize that it affects them also.
Remember the 2996. Support those in the military service of civilization whom have stepped forward voluntarily to protect the rights and privileges of even those who will not understand or accept the fact that this is a cusp and nexus of history. Support the first responders who form the shield of our civilization.
Hug your family and friends today for those who cannot.

May God have mercy on the stunted, warped souls of the Islamofascists.

Clambake

Runnin' head-on into the weekend. The Post is having a clambake this weekend and a spaghetti dinner tonight plus a meeting this week makes it a Legion week-weekend. Not even 2 hours on Guild Wars this week.
Any one surprised by the Hsu-salesman skipping bail (a measly $2 mil) should please answer a courtesy telephone call at a courtesy phone in Paris. You're too clueless to hang with Americans. And take Shrillary and Bill witcha.
Still don't like Fred's comment re: anti-gay marriage amendment - enough already; and even if the gay population is 10% as is claimed, it ain't worth a constitutional amendment. Save that for important stuff. But Fred has a lot of ground to cover - and will be compared to RR no matter what he does because of a shared acting background. A Thompson-Guiliani ticket is an interesting thought experiment....

Gotta run.

Another 'Un Bites The Dust

Life has done us wrong. Rodger the Real King of France has ceased operations due to the exigencies of life.
I wonder if a vicissitude snuck in there...
I'll miss ya long time, GI. Vaya con *deity of your choice*.

Day of Labor

I hope you're having a great Labor Day and the weather is good wherever you are. (Where are you two, anyway?) A strange thoroughly American holiday - a day off of work to celebrate the days spent at work....

Col. Peters has some interesting things to say, but this grabbed my eyes:

'Billeted in a musty room with five bunk beds in one of Saddam's lesser palaces, I had the greatest strategic insight of my life: Saddam was so cruel because he was frustrated - he didn't really want to be a dictator, but yearned to be an interior decorator specializing in Appalachian trailer-park clients who win the lottery. "

Thass funny, I don' care who ya are. Unless yer one a them lib-ruls......

Kim DuToit for Press Secretary. Or me. Better me, I think. Then Kim can concentrate on finding ladies like Nigella or the lovely Lorna. Lorna was born to "flesh out" a bikini... Lucky bicycle, to be ridden by such a lovely lady....

*Snerk* "Cum-burbling trout-fucker", indeed. The lady has a way with words.... Read it and enjoy!

Y'all be nice to each other and I'll dig ya on the flip-flop.

An Anudder Ting Two

Is it just me or are the howls of the Teamsters WRT the Mexican truck invasion music to delight the ears? When it was the non-union folks' jobs being sold across the river to illegals they were "jobs Americans won't do". Now it is THEIR jobs that are being threatened, legals are the object of their protests. Of course a SF federal judge appointed by the "Is Kid" has blocked enforcement of the immigration laws to allow "breathing room". Whattanasshat. Perhaps Maxine should move out of her gated community into real life and have to take her chances with the illegals she loves so well. Yeah, like that'll happen....

An Anudder Ting...

For all the baseball fans out there - Hobbs versus Vaughn. No steroids, just Harry Doyle...

Ya gotta love it...

Sunday Schtuff a day early

Been an interesting week. Tomorrow I water-test the waterfall for leaks. L&T wife, MIL, and son are going to "Lion King" tomorrow ( saw it w/L&T and MIL in Toronto - once a life is ENUFF!). May put a coupla miles on the Kaw tomorrow while they are gone.
My birthday is in Sept, so Son gifted me with the "Heroes" DVD. Daughter and I are both fans, so it is appreciated. L&T wanted to buy me a freakin' recliner the size of a '57 Chevy for b'day w/leather, but I asked that she buy this instead. Looks like exactly what I want....

The Clinton machine is exercising itself. My bet is that she erases BH Obama and his "Hope" aspirations instead of co-opting him. But the Clintons are FAR too politically-savvy to write off.

In a great display of bridge-too-far-syndrome. Fred agreed to support an amendment to the Constitution against same-sex marriage. Seems to me we'd all be better off if he supported the Constitution as written instead of amending the document. But that's just me, maybe.

The video making it around the blogosphere is a sure cure for the blues. Watch it in good health. If you liked "300", you'll love this. (H/T to Wyatt)

So do you think Meeshigan is gonna end the year with the same coach? Who'll care?

Remember - Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.....
