Who also influenced me greatly - can we say I enlisted partially because of  Starship Troopers?  (BTW - much to the Bosslady's chagrin, I still have the skull-and-crossbones earrings I had made in honor of the Roughnecks.  Mine have a bone for each tour, back when only lifers served multiple tours in the 'Nam  And wear them once in a while....)  Stolen from Blue.
