Skyfall V

Again, via the circuitous route through Dotter comes a pic of one of the x-rays of the boss lady's arm. She's sportin' a plate (seen in profile) and NINE screws. Needless to say she's still in pain.....



It has not been a fun experience for her. Loss of mobility due to being unable to drive is starting to really get to her.
Better days are coming.

Skyfall IV

While the Bear was home for Christmas, he sent Dotter a photo of the impact zone for Skyfall. I did not know until a minute ago, so I decided to share it with y'all.

Skyfall III - Update

The L&T had a followup appointment with an orthopedic surgeon this morning. The splint was removed, roentgens were released and the stitches from the December 13 surgery were removed. According to the digital x-ray, nine screws and a porkchop-kinda-shaped plate were installed to stabilize the three breaks in the bones. Regimen of massage and exercise laid out for boss lady to do. Followup in two weeks.
So naturally she wanted to go visit the Tutu Cowgirl (so named because one of her favorite outfits features cowboy boots and a pink tutu) up in Meeshigun. Four hours later she is yakking full speed with Dotter. Further updates as hilarity ensues.....

Christmas Eve

The L&T, the Bear and myself are heading to the MIL's house shortly for the annual Christmas celebration. May you and yours have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I Hate To Say This - I NEVER Quote Dems...

As I see it, if the Heffalumps don't claim to be fighting for Grandma at the same time bloody murder is being screamed over the fact that Hopey's Boys want to continue sucking the money from Social Security to pump up the 47% non-income-taxpayers, a severe house-cleaning is most definitely in order. Re-elect no one.

It's the economy, stupid.

Skyfall II

Well, the L&T was operated on Tuesday to better repair the damage caused by her fall. Major pain somewhat exorcised by oxycodone has followed. But the new "appliance" on her arm that replaced the original cast is smaller, but not lighter. The orthopedic surgeon worried that there was going to be a problem with arthritis in her finger and elbow joints if she didn't keep them exercised and the new setup allows that.
The followup appointment is set for December 27th, the day after she had planned to leave to celebrate Christmas with SIL, the Dotter and Sleezix. Undeterred, she now plans to leave right after the appointment. Hopefully she will feel like traveling. I shudder to think of the alternative.
On the upside, she seems to enjoy my cooking. But I really hate doing dishes. It is what it is - necessary. However, tonight is the Post Christmas Party, so she will get a break.

These six weeks canna pass too quickly for me - or her either....
