Well, the lib-ruls have been howling for Gonzales' scalp for no apparent reason and have gotten it. Since Karl Rove is not there to steer the troubled Ship of State during these tribulations, I will step forward with a perfect example for the lib-ruls of "The Law of Unintended Consequences".
Nominate John Bolton. Put him and them on C-SPAN TV in a steel cage match to the death! Fun for the whole political spectrum! Posturing! Invective! Assininity! Watch the Admiral of Chappaquidick leave town! See Harry Reid get the vapors! Watch Nanny Pelosi denigrate and declaim!
Too bad W. doesn't have the balls to do it. It's not like he's nominating Jeb, his brother, like other presidents have nominated theirs...... Entertaining thought experiment, though....
