More money for AIG? SanFraNan has plans for $150 billion more in handouts? McVain wants the Gov to become $300 billion involved in the mortgage business? Has everyone in politics contracted brain fever? Or overdosed on kumbaya and cheap wine? Whutinthehell happened to the free market? How do I get out of this chickenshit outfit? This is no longer the land of the free and home of the brave that I enlisted to protect and defend the Constitution thereof. Far from it. It has morphed into the land of the fool and home of the handout. This fiscal shit is greasing the skids that will drop this land-that-used-to-be-ours directly into the pot and then stirring briskly.
Now. I'm certain from reading the history (Remember history? Lessons from history that are supposed to be learned prior to repetition? Sort of a Cliff Notes to reality?) of this great country that this isn't even close to the first time that the ordinary citizen-commentater (yup, I'm a common tater..) has been abso-bloody-lutely convinced that the country was on a one-way trip to hell in an industrial-strength handbasket. And, Deus volt, it will not be the last. But in order for it not to be, we have to survive this fraternity barbecue brought to us by the DC tofu-and-regulations-for-the-little-people crowd without being zorched by the process (and the not-so-friendly real world and it's inhabitants) and the unintended consequences of said policy. (I swear SanFraNan is the reincarnation/zombie of Leona Helmsley...)
Dunno 'boutchew, but I think it may be time to check the inventory of barterable goods and perhaps increase it. Morons have broken the system before and appear poised to do it again with panache.
(BTW - Tam , (like she reads this drivel), have you seen this?
