Pet Peeve 1

This one is use by politicos of either stripe of the words "clear" as in "a clear example" or "clearly" as in "Clearly, my opponent" or "Clearly, they..." I have never seen a more consistent tell for a lie. The reason it's a PP is that it really grates on me that the politicos think those earnest declarations pull the wool over our (collective) eyes. Often enough for there to be a steady stream of incumbents, it works. Past time to vote 'em all out. Make 'em work for a living. (Fat chance. Most of our Senators and House "legislators" are lawyers. Any doubt why they piss me off?? Not even talkin' how they screw us blind...) But that would be according to YOUR viewpoint..
