And Another Damn Thing

Anybody out there happen to know what the NFL record is for consecutive quarters without scoring an offensive touchdown? Right now the Browns are at 5 games or 20 quarters without seeing the end zone as the result of an offensive play. Hell, the Bungles are outplaying us as well as beating our asses to a pulp. I checked the NFL site and the Hall of Fame site, but it seems that they prefer to track winners, rather than totally garbage teams that have never even played in a Superbowl, much less won it. So if there is a sports maven out there who can enlighten me on this question, I'd appreciate it. I fully expect them to finish the year with 6 games w/o a TD. But I'd like to know what the record is.

And while we're talkin' (I'm talkin', you're listening) about the Cleveland Clowns, is Syndric Steptoe Chudzinski's butt-boy? Or vice versa? Holy-Mary-full-of-grace, Steptoe's had all the production of the Kaiser-Frazier Corporation this year (19 receptions in 12 games), but Chud returns to him like a dog to its vomit or Metcalf-up-the-middle. But I have the distinct feeling that Chud isn't going to be around to screw things up next year. Think he'll be moving on - and not to the head coaching position he was preening himself for. With any luck at all, Dorsey's ribs will not let him start next week - and no one will know the difference (QB rating 28.1).

Only one game left in this Little Season of Horrors, thankfully, but it is against the Steelers and they'll screw the Clowns like a cheap hooker. Hell, they didn't even get to the red zone today, much less score their signature field goal. So it won't be pretty...
