Is this a great country or what? Hopey has given the all-clear to blue state eco-whacks to roll their own CAFE and emission standards for each state. Since the 28 federally-mandated fuel blends haven't completely destroyed auto use in the US of A while jacking the price sky-high, I am forced to assume that this is the next step into the mass transit future.
Smart Cars, anyone? I can see this country surviving vehicularly like the workers' paradise Cuba. All our rides will be over 40 years old and held together with duct tape. And it ain't like the masses will be able to afford any new car that may still be on the market by then anyway.
Fortunately, it won't be my problem - I'll be dead.
