Thanks to 300+ pages of bribes added to the 1200+ page banishment-of-carbon bill, the House-o-butt-monkies passed the completely misnamed "American Clean Energy and Security Act" bill yesterday. No provisions for cattle-fart-taxing, but lots and lots o'cash for SanFraNan. (She, of course, claims her husband did it without her knowledge or consent.) The proof will be in the prices. Today, the local price of 87 octane unleaded at the Marathon station down the street is $2.54 9/10. I'll track it through the 2010 elections, at least. We'll assume a base price of $2.55, and go from there.
All this destruction of our society to cure AGW, a non-existent malady of a mythical entity. Damn glad I'm old - but the sorrow I feel for our succeding generations is deep and stygian.
BTW - Amnesty for illegal aliens is next on the hit parade. Probably spearheaded by McVain....
