Already Whacked a $Billion

Cash for Clunkers. Or Cash for Yo' Mama? Why is it so difficult to pay for pre-1989 cars instead of specifying year/model? (Answer - The Congressional staffers feel the need for the micro-managing rush. Go here.) Lawyers (esp. legislators) need to get whacked with a ClueBat... Quarter-of-million-sales-theoretically-stimulated (ignoring the regular buyers who would also grab the rebate) is bupkus compared to total vehicle turnover. If y'all want a short, sharp bump in new vehicle (Ford domestically, Honda and Mitsubishi based overseas) sales, put $10 bilion in the next bill. I do not agree with it (not Federal business) but if ya gotta, do it hard and fast....
