But I was considering the fact that the democrat power structure running Cleveland (and Detroit and N'Awlins and N'Yawk and Chicago and the vast majority of the failed-urban-area-of-choice) are going to try to balance the budget in these lean times by laying off safety forces and forcing the other employees of this fine city to take 10 unpaid furlough days this year. This is accompanied by much strident hoopla that THE PUBLIC IS ENDANGERED due to the layoffs as well as planned demotions of police captains and lieutenants. Seems to me that all this nonsense could be avoided and the safety of the public ensured by just laying off all employees not in the court system whose job titles include the words "diversity", "holistic", or "justice". I believe entire departments that exist merely to funnel taxpayer monies to non-taxpayers would disappear - and not be missed by non-birkenstock-wearing taxpayers.
But I doubt it..... I also believe the Browns and Indians will still suck in 2010. Don't think I'm wrong there, either.

Unfortunately, I think the resolution of the Nation's financial problems will more likely mirror the "Haitian" model...
Machetes, with bodies ignored unless they become so numerous we can stack them like cordwood.
We have to be optimistic though, don't we? With every problem there's an opportunity...
