Putin's certainly not a good man. But he is a great man -- perhaps the most capable national leader of our time. He's also a very dangerous man.The Colonel bitch-slaps the nail of reality on the head. I would imagine that Hopey and Ol' Joe are the only naifs who really believe in Tinkerbelle and that a recently refurbished-in-Russia Tupolev accidentally killed the rabidly anti-Soviet Polish government. (BTW - not as clumsy as a deadly umbrella, Vlad old boy.)
The really bad news? I can't spot a single potential president in either of our political parties who'd be a match for the guy.
It's heartbreaking when an old KGB hand consistently triumphs over the products of the mediocrity mills our moribund political parties have become.
I totally agree with his assessment of the American political landscape. The best we can hope for is somebody who actually grows into the office of president - and I'm not sanguine about that either.
