It seems to me that a helluva lot of tax money could be saved by eliminating all agencies, branches, sections and jobs that have the words "diversity", "awareness" or "fair" (including "fair share") in either the name or the job description. I fail to see any value-added by expenditures like that. Even one or two percent would add up to billions of taxpayer dollars and be spread across the board.
What do you think?

If you get rid of all of those positions, we'd end up having to take care of these folks anyway. Most I've dealt with over the years don't have the intellect to hold down a job at Wal-Mart or McDonald's. At least with these jobs, they *feel* like they're working to earn that money.
In all seriousness, you're correct. The biggest thing any of these agencies, etc... have done over the years is make folks like us come to hate the words "diversity" and "awareness". Oh, and "empowerment". I despise that word too.
Ooooh, I forgot "empowerment" - but it doesn't show up that often in job descriptions. Somethin' has got to be done, though, we've got more tax money acceptors than tax payers. And that ain't healthy.
