Hangin' With the Natives

The 21st Century is alive and well in New Mexico. I'm sitting in the Old Town Plaza in the Old Town section of Albuquerque with a wifi connection. Ain't science wunnerful!
The L&T and my sister wanted to come down here today and shop - the Ladywife has to purchase some trinkets and a wedding present. Sure, I'll drive, dear. So I charged the little Samsung web book last night and threw it into my backpack with my copy of Roadfood (a handy compendium of 700 eateries across the country - I recommend it for finding the diners/dives in an area you may not be familiar with. No consideration accepted or proffered for this plug.).
Back to the Jeep story.
Yesterday afternoon while L&T was out "bumming" (her term) with the sister, I got a call from the front desk. Seems despite the fact that the Jeep dealership had 2 cell numbers AND the room number to call us directly, the service advisor called the front desk to tell us that the Jeep was ready. Called the Dynamic Duo, and they allowed as how they'd come back and get me and we would then get the Jeep. On the way there, the L&T was as fired-up as a jarhead lance corporal with 2 forty-ouncers in him - inventing dire scenarios awaiting us at the dealership and the righteous retribution that would be hers.
Well, when presented with the bill, her face was a marvel to behold. $100 deductible and her extended warranty covered the rest of it. To quote Meat Loaf - "All Revved Up With No Place To Go". So all's well that ends well.
They're BA-AACK! Got to go.

Don't forget the plug for Bert's Burgers.... pretty awesome stuff! Sorry we can't have Jim with us to celebrate his birthday - would be great(er)!
